Coordinates: 53 ° 30 ′ 19.5 ″ N , 8 ° 6 ′ 18.5 ″ E The logistics center of the Bundeswehr (LogZBw) is the Bundeswehr's central logistics service provider.
Mission and structure
The head office is in Wilhelmshaven and today it is spread over three properties in Wilhelmshaven and around 50 properties nationwide. The logistics center of the Bundeswehr consists of the four logistic departments:
- Supply chain management ,
- Disposition,
- Maintenance and manufacturing,
- Traffic and transportation
and the area newly established on July 1, 2012
- fixed logistic facilities.
It fulfills the basic logistical tasks of material management, material maintenance and transport.
The basic idea was to offer logistic services from "one source". For this purpose, the logistical functions, which were distributed across many offices in Germany, were brought together in a single office.
Since February 1, 2013, the Bundeswehr logistics center has been subordinate to the Bundeswehr 's new logistics command in Erfurt in accordance with the Bundeswehr's new deployment concept .
