Wolfgang Dehnel

Wolfgang Dehnel (born February 11, 1945 in Schwarzenberg / Erzgeb. ) Is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the People's Chamber and a member of the Bundestag .

Life

After attending primary school and graduating from high school in Schwarzenberg, he did an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. Later he studied evening classes at the Breitenbrunn branch of the Karl-Marx-Stadt Technical University and graduated as an engineer for mechanical engineering technology . From 1966 to 1967 he did his military service with the NVA and worked as a toolmaker until 1969, then as a technologist until 1976, then as a group leader and since January 1990 as head of production technology at Formenbau GmbH Schwarzenberg.

Dehnel joined the GDR CDU in 1976 and was a city councilor in Schwarzenberg from 1980 to 1990. From 1990 to 1997 he was chairman of the CDU district association Schwarzenberg. In 1990 he was elected to the People's Chamber for constituency 08 (Karl-Marx-Stadt), to which he belonged from March 18 to October 2, 1990. After reunification he became a member of the Bundestag, to which he belonged until 2002 as a directly elected member of constituency 326 (Aue-Schwarzenberg-Klingenthal). From 2005 to 2015 Dehnel was chairman of the Erzgebirgszweigverein Schwarzenberg.

Wolfgang Dehnel is a Protestant, widowed and has two children.
