Wolfgang Eggert (historian)
Wolfgang Eggert (born May 13, 1938 in Brandenburg an der Havel ; † July 6, 2006 in Berlin ) was a German historian .
Life
After the doctorate A The East Franconian-German Empire in the view of his contemporaries in 1968 at the HU Berlin and that of the doctorate B The feeling of togetherness among Franconian and German historians up to the investiture dispute in 1985 at the HU Berlin , he worked for the Monumenta Germaniae Historica and from 1997 Professor (§ 17 HmbHG) for Medieval History at the University of Hamburg .
