Wolfgang Gehrke (politician)
Wolfgang Gehrke (born November 10, 1945 in Hamburg ) is a German engineer , local politician ( CDU ) and manager .
Life
Wolfgang Gehrke, who holds a doctorate in engineering, was the city planner in Fulda from 1988 to 1996 .
From 1996 to 1997 Gehrke was mayor and building department in Darmstadt . In 1999 and 2005 he applied for the office of Lord Mayor in Darmstadt, but was defeated in both elections by the respective SPD applicant.
Gehrke was director of TÜV Hessen from 1998 to 2005 . In addition, for many years he was city councilor , chairman of the CDU city council group and city council chief in Darmstadt. Gehrke , the construction and traffic expert, is still an honorary city councilor in Darmstadt.
Wolfgang Gehrke is married to Kirsten Gehrke from Denmark . The Gehrke family lives in Darmstadt-Bessungen .
