Wolfgang Höller

Wolfgang Höller (born February 14, 1909 in Rodenkirchen near Cologne , † December 21, 1994 in Vienna ) was an Austrian diplomat .

Life

Höller was the son of the manufacturer, commercial councilor and Salzburg chamber president Karl Höller. He was married to Hedy Indra, their children were Elisabeth and Thomas. In Salzburg he attended the middle school, was 1928 graduation , studied law in Vienna and Paris, and in 1934 the doctor of law doctorate. In November 1933 he joined the Fatherland Front . He completed his judicial year and entered the foreign service in 1935, and in 1937 he was transferred to Paris. In 1938 he was accepted into the foreign service of the German Reich and transferred to the embassy of the German Reich in La Paz. Wolfgang Höller joined the NSDAP on August 1, 1942 . After brief employment at the embassy of the German Reich in Madrid , he went to Morocco in 1943 as consul of the German Reich , where he resigned in October 1944. On January 4, 1945 he was dismissed from the civil service. Höller was interned in Spain until April 1946.

On November 17, 1947, he joined the foreign service of the Republic of Austria, first class secretary of the legation. From 1949 to 1955 he was Chargé d'Affaires in Mexico City . From 1958 to 1964 he was ambassador to Buenos Aires . From November 8, 1968 to 1974 he was ambassador to Madrid . In 1974 he was retired .
