Wolfgang Hopfer

Wolfgang Hopfer (born June 10, 1975 in Graz ) is an Austrian football coach and former player.

Career

Hopfer went through all youth teams of SK Sturm Graz . In 1993 he was accepted into their professional squad. First he was awarded as a cooperation player for ASK Voitsberg , where he was supposed to collect match practice in the regional league . Then he came first to missions as a substitute in the combat team. As a regular player, he was the right midfielder in the successful Sturm team but never really prevailed. After five years with Sturm, he moved to FK Austria Vienna . He also spent five years there before he moved to SV Mattersburg . He then went to the second highest division for SV Kapfenberg . In the 2006/07 season he signed a contract with the newcomer TSV Hartberg . From 2007 to 2012 Hopfer was under contract with the southeast Styrian club UFC Fehring . He let his career end from 2012 to 2013 at SV Flavia Solva and ended his professional career at the beginning of January 2014.

Since June 15, 2015 he has been the trainer of the Styrian amateur club GSV St. Martin .
