Wolfgang Leese

Wolfgang Leese (born June 17, 1946 in Ensheim , Saarland) is a former German manager .

Leese grew up in simple circumstances. His father died during his childhood. Leese completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk from 1965 to 1967 . He then studied business administration from 1968 to 1972 at Saarland University, which he graduated with a degree in business administration.

After completing his studies, Leese worked for 15 years at Eisengießerei Halberger Hütte GmbH from 1973 , most recently as director of controlling. In 1988 Gerhard Cromme brought him to Krupp Stahl AG , where he worked from 1988 to 1989 as director of controlling. From 1990 to 2000 he completed various management positions, most recently as CEO of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta (KTN). From 2000 to 2011, Leese was CEO of Salzgitter AG . On January 31, 2011, Leese retired.
