Wolfgang Nonn
Wolfgang Nonn (born November 24, 1935 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ; † August 26, 1959 there ) was a German hockey player . He won an Olympic bronze medal in 1956.
At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, Wolfgang Nonn was involved in all five games, he scored two goals, one of them in the bronze medal in a 3-1 win against the British. His brother Helmut Nonn was also a member of the 1956 Olympic team. Wolfgang Nonn played in 21 international matches. With Uhlenhorst Mülheim , the Nonn brothers became German champions in 1954, 1955, 1957 and 1958. Nonn died of appendectomy at the age of 23.
