Wolfgang Pauly (theologian)

Wolfgang Pauly (* 1954 in Sulzbach / Saar ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Working life

He studied Catholic theology, philosophy and German in Saarbrücken , Tübingen and Trier . After receiving his doctorate at Saarland University in 1989, he became an academic assistant and later an adjunct professor at the University of Koblenz-Landau .

His work focuses on systematic theology (fundamental theology, dogmatics) and religious studies (Judaism). He is a member of the Society for Christian Jewish Cooperation Palatinate (Managing Director and Catholic Chairman), the European Society for Catholic Theology, the Working Group of German-Italian Religious Educators and the Working Group of Rhine-Main Religious Educators.
