from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wolfgang Petersen (born February 18, 1952 in Schleswig ) was a member of the House of Representatives of (West) Berlin from 1983 to 1985 in the 9th electoral term.

Life

Petersen attended a secondary school in Denmark and trained as a nurse . He retired in June 1983 by rotation of the AL Group ( A lternativen L iste for democracy and environmental protection ) as substitutes by Irmgard Kohlhepp the House of Representatives. However, he lost his group membership in the AL right at the beginning. Petersen was thus non-attached and joined the Liberal Democrats (LD). His political work was mainly in the health, social and elderly areas. He took action against abuses in facilities for the elderly, including in the Kufahl nursing home .

Today Wolfgang Petersen lives in Dortmund and helps out as a voluntary caretaker at the Diakonie in Dortmund. His political activity today is the compensation of former children in care from 1945 to 1980. Petersen was himself a child from 1953 to 1972. In his opinion, the former children in care had been humiliated by the church representatives and the state organs, since both were only concerned with keeping the costs of compensation as low as possible. Furthermore, Antje Vollmer denied legal assistance to the Heimkinder representatives at the negotiating table and put them under pressure.
