Wolfgang Ratzek

Wolfgang Ratzek (born November 8, 1951 in Berlin ; † November 27, 2014 ) has been Professor of Business Administration for information facilities, especially marketing and personnel management, at the Stuttgart Media University since 2000 .

Life

In the mid-1960s he completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker (in Norway) and then went to sea on a Norwegian ship. From 1982 to 1986 studies with a master’s degree in information science and Scandinavian studies at the Free University of Berlin. In 1991 he received his doctorate at the Faculty of Communication Studies at the Free University of Berlin ( Gernot Wersig ). Before being appointed to the Stuttgart Media University , he held leading positions in the fields of marketing, personnel and management consulting and as a lecturer (from 1988 to 2000). Since 2000 Ratzek has taught at the Stuttgart Media University in the library and information management course.

Research priorities

Wolfgang Ratzek's main research areas were information management , marketing , and personnel development . Projects in cooperation with libraries and media companies.
