Wolfgang Rudzio

Wolfgang Rudzio (born March 29, 1935 in Insterburg ) is a German political scientist and professor at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg .

Life

Rudzio spent his school days in Hanover. He studied mathematics and history at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and passed his state examination there . After completing his doctorate and habilitation , he initially worked as a professor in Frankfurt before moving to Oldenburg in 1973. He stayed there until his retirement in 2000.

Rudzio has made a name for himself nationwide primarily with his standard work The Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany .

His main research interests are political parties and the practice of coalition governments.
