Wolfgang Schüler (writer)

Wolfgang Schüler (born September 24, 1952 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia ) is a German writer , lawyer and journalist .

Life

Schüler studied law in Leipzig and worked for several years as a court reporter for the Berliner Zeitung . He has worked as a freelance journalist since 1984 and as a lawyer since 1990. In 1987 his first book, Criminals on the Net, appeared . So far it has seen five reprints from three different publishers. From 1990 to 2005, Schüler published a regional newspaper, and from 1993 to 2003 he was honorary mayor of his home town of Hönow .

Schüler published well over 1,000 literary court reports in various newspapers and magazines, for example weekly since 1990 in the farmers' newspaper . His novel biography Edgar Wallace - A Life Like in Film (1999) is also available as an audio book and as a print for the blind. In 2001, Schüler was nominated for the North Falls Prize of the City of Flensburg. He is a member of the Syndikat , the association of German-speaking crime writers.
