Wolfgang Schwarz (politician)
Wolfgang Schwarz (born February 12, 1954 in Landau in the Palatinate ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since 2009 he has been a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .
Life
After completing secondary school in 1971, Schwarz completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale merchant that lasted until 1973. He then worked for seven years in the German Armed Forces until he trained as a police officer from 1980 to 1982. From 1982 to 1985 Schwarz was with the police in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, then until 1991 with the criminal police in Ludwigshafen. Between 1991 and 1992 he acquired the technical college entrance qualification, which qualified him to complete a course of studies at the FHÖV police in Koblenz from 1992 to 1995, which he completed with a degree in administrative management (FH). After he worked for the criminal police in Neustadt, he worked from 2000 to 2009 as head of the commissariat for combating drug crime.
Political activities
Schwarz became a member of the SPD in 1972 and in 1996 co-founded the local SPD association in Hainfeld , of which he was chairman until 2003. Since 2004 he has been the deputy district chairman of the SPD in the Südliche Weinstrasse district.
From 1994 to 2004 he was a member of the council of the community of Hainfeld, where he has also been the local mayor since 2004. He has been a member of the Southern Wine Route District Council since 2008.
On October 1, 2009, he replaced the resigned MP Christine Baumann in the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2011 he was re-elected from the SPD's state list. In the state elections in 2016, he directly won the mandate in the constituency 50 of Landau. Schwarz is police and wine-growing policy spokesman for his group. He is a full member of the Interior Committee and the Agriculture and Viticulture Committee . Within the parliamentary group, he is a member of the sports working group. In addition, he is chairman of the parliamentary control commission and deputy chairman of the G10 commission.
