Christine Baumann

Christine Baumann (born January 28, 1949 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1967, Baumann studied to become a teacher at primary and secondary schools in Kaiserslautern and Worms until 1971. She then worked as a teacher at elementary and secondary schools in Böbingen , Edesheim , Roschbach , Landau in the Palatinate and Hochstadt until 1997 . Baumann is married and has two children.

politics

In 1972 Baumann joined the SPD. From 1976 to 1979 she was a member of the municipal council of Maximiliansau and from 1994 to 2006 of the city council of Landau. From 1997 to 2009 Baumann was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . She represented constituency 50 ( Landau in der Pfalz ) and was the wine-growing political spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group.
