Wolfgang Tölle

Wolfgang Tölle (born July 26, 1949 , † January 19, 2012 in Göttingen ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ). From November 1, 1986 to October 31, 1996, he was mayor of the southern Lower Saxony city ​​of Northeim .

Life

At the beginning of 1971, Wolfgang Tölle joined the SPD at the age of 21 . Two years later he was a member of the Northeim district council for the first time . He held this office until 1981, during which he also acted as deputy district administrator for the last four years . In the year he left the district council, Tölle also took over a seat on the Northeim City Council, headed the SPD parliamentary group and was elected 2nd mayor. On November 1, 1986, he was finally elected honorary mayor of Northeim. He held this office for two legislative terms up to the local elections in 1996. Then he again took over the chairmanship of the Council group of the Social Democrats. Two years later, however, he put it down and withdrew from active politics.

Wolfgang Tölle worked full-time as a teacher, most recently in the role of vice-principal of a secondary school in Northeim.
