Wolfhard Weber
Wolfhard Weber (born April 26, 1940 in Bremen ) is a German technology historian . From 1976 to 2005 he taught economic and technical history at the Ruhr University in Bochum.
activities
Weber and Ulrich Troitzsch held the keynote lecture “Methodological considerations for a future technology history” at the 31st Historikertag on September 24, 1976 in Mannheim. This dealt with systematic questions to be clarified in order to establish the then still young history of technology as an independent discipline.
In 1990 Weber was elected a full member of the Historical Commission for Westphalia .
