Wolfram Krömer

Wolfram Krömer (born March 25, 1935 in Wünsdorf ) is a German Romance studies and literary scholar.

Life

Krömer studied German and Romance languages ​​in Bonn, Dijon, Genoa and Cologne. He received his doctorate in Cologne in 1960 under Fritz Schalk on Ludovico di Breme 1780-1820. The first theorist of Romanticism in Italy (Geneva / Paris 1961). From 1961 to 1963 he was a lecturer at the University of Valencia , from 1963 to 1969 assistant at the Institute for Comparative Literature at the University of Saarland . He qualified as a professor in Saarbrücken in 1967 in Romance philology with the thesis On Weltanschauung, Aesthetics and Poetics of Neoclassicism and Romanticism in Spain (Münster 1968). From 1970 until his retirement in 2003 he taught at the literary studies chair “Romance Studies II” at the University of Innsbruck . From 1981 to 1983 he was dean, from 1985 to 1987 rector of the University of Innsbruck.
