Wolkersdorf is a district of the city of Traunstein in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .
history
The rural community of Wolkersdorf, which became independent in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict , comprised the towns of Geißing , Guntramshügl , Höpperding , Kotzing , Riederting , Schmidham , Traunstorf , Unterhaid and Wolkersdorf. It was incorporated into Traunstein on May 1, 1978. In 2015 the Wolkersdorf district had a population of 2,488 and an area of 6.7 km².
