Wollaston is an impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon in the plain of Oceanus Procellarum . It is northwest of Krieger Crater . The crater is bowl-shaped, the edge hardly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the English doctor, physicist and chemist William Hyde Wollaston .
