The nature reserve Wollerscheider Wald is located in the municipality of Simmerath north of Lammersdorf .
Protection purpose
The habitats are to be protected for many plants, fungi and animals that are endangered according to the Red List . For this purpose, the development of near-natural forest stands as well as the preservation and optimization of valuable moor relicts and the biotope network between the nature reserves Wollerscheider Venn and Kämpchen .
