Volodymyr Ivanovich Onyshchenko ( Ukrainian Володимир Іванович Онищенко ; born October 28, 1949 in the village of Stechanka in Kiev Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Soviet - Ukrainian football player and later football coach.

Onyshchenko played in youth teams from Dynamo Kiev from 1962 . From 1970 to 1978 he played in the first team of this club, interrupted by two seasons (1972-1973) in which he played for Zorya Voroshilovgrad .

With Dynamo Kiev striker in 1971, 1974, 1975 and 1977, won the Soviet championship and in the seasons 1974 and 1978 and the Soviet Cup . With Voroshilovgrad he also won the Soviet championship in 1972.

In the 1974/1975 season Onyshchenko won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Dynamo Kiev . In the final against Ferencváros Budapest he contributed two goals to the 3-0 final score. In the same year Dynamo also won the UEFA Super Cup against Bayern Munich , Onyshchenko played in the second leg in Kiev.

Between 1972 and 1977 he completed a total of 44 games for the Soviet national team and scored 11 goals. At the finals of the European Football Championship in 1972 , he was with the Soviet team in the final against the eventual winner Germany. Onyshchenko took part with the Olympic selection in the football tournaments of the Olympic Games in 1972 and 1976 and won the bronze medal with the Soviet team.

After his active career he was a member of the coaching staff of Dynamo Kiev for a long time, between 1999 and 2001 he coached the U-21 national team of Ukraine .
