Volodymyr Fedorowytsch Sirenko ( Ukrainian Володимир Федорович Сіренко ; born November 1, 1960 in Pokrowska Bahachka , Poltava Oblast , Ukrainian SSR ) is a well-known Ukrainian conductor , artistic director and chief conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine .

Live and act

Sirenko studied at the National Music Academy of Ukraine Peter Tchaikovsky . Since 1990 - chief conductor of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Since 1999 - artistic director and chief conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine . Wolodymyr Sirenko has given concerts at home and abroad, in the USA, Germany, South Korea, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, England. He has conducted more than 50 orchestras worldwide, including the London Symphony Orchestra , the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic , the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Warsaw National Philharmonic . In 2001 he was awarded the Taras Shevchenko Prize .

As a professor of conducting , he teaches Peter Tchaikovsky at the National Music Academy of Ukraine . Sirenko works with the singers in the "Young Opera" in Kiev.
