Volost Užusaliai

The Wolost Užusaliai (lit. Užusalių valsčius ) was an administrative unit ( Wolost ) around the place Užusaliai ( Russian Ужусаляй ) in what is now central Lithuania . The center was the village Išorai , now a town in the district of Užusaliai the jonava district municipality .

history

The Wolost Jonava has been mentioned in a document since the second half of the 19th century. From 1863, the old Orthodox of Tsarist Russia lived in Užusaliai and formed the parish of Rimkai . In 1866 the Russian Orthodox Church Užusaliai was built in what was then the Russian Empire . In 1937 there were 386 people in the parish. Around 1950 the Wolost in what was then Soviet Lithuania was dissolved. The territory then belonged to the Jonava Rajon ( Jonavos rajonas ), now the Jonava Rajon municipality .
