Women's World Cup of Golf
The Women's World Cup of Golf was an annual professional golf tournament for women in national teams of two. Only one team per nation was allowed to start.
The event was held in South Africa from 2005 to 2008 and was limited to 22 teams that qualified based on the world rankings or in preliminary rounds.
The tournament took place in January or February at the start of the US LPGA Tour.
The tournament was held on three days as a counting game over 18 holes each and consisted of:
- Singles - the results of the two participants are added.
- Foursomes - the two players on the team take turns hitting the ball.
- Better Ball - the two players play in parallel, the result of the better player per hole goes into the evaluation.
