Liselotte "Lotta" Neumann (born May 20, 1966 in Finspång , Sweden ) is a Swedish professional golfer . At the moment she mainly plays on the LPGA tour .

Amateur career

Lotta Neumann was Swedish amateur champion in 1982 and 1983 and match-play champion in 1983. She participated for Sweden in 1982 and 1984 in the World Team Amateur Championships and in 1984 also in the European Team Championship .

Professional career

At the beginning of 1985 Neumann switched to the professional warehouse. In 1988 she took part in the LPGA Tour for the first time and won the United States Women's Open Championship that year and was rookie of the year.

In total, she had 13 victories on the LPGA Tour, but her 1988 win remained the only major win . Although she won the Women's British Open in 1994 , at that time this tournament was recognized as a major tournament by the Ladies European Tour , but not by the LPGA Tour.

In the money list , it achieved its best result in 1994, but was also in the top ten in 1996, 1997 and 1998.

Throughout her career, Liselotte Neumann played every season on the European Tour and also in Asia.

Neumann played six times for Europe in the Solheim Cup (1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000). In 2006 she won the Women's World Cup of Golf together with Annika Sörenstam .

She is a member of the LET for life, an honor only six other female golfers have received before her.
