The Wood River Mountains are a mountain range of the Kuskokwim Mountains in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge in Southwest Alaska .
They extend from Bristol Bay 160 km north to Chikuminuk Lake . To the west of the mountains is the Togiak River , to the east is Wood-Tikchik State Park with a number of larger lakes.
It is named after the Wood River , which flows southeast of the mountains near Dillingham into the Nushagak River .
