The Wordie Point is a headland in southwest Visokoi Iceland in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands . It is located 2.5 km south of Sulfur Point .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations surveyed in 1930 and named them after the British polar explorer and geologist James Wordie (1889-1962), participant in the endurance expedition (1914-1917) led by Ernest Shackleton .
