working-dog is a social network and database . The name working-dog refers to the English name of the working dog or working dog . With more than 270,000 users and over 2.5 million dogs of various breeds, it is the largest network of its kind in the world.
history
The website, founded by Mathias Dögel in 2007, is operated by his technology company Dögel GmbH based in Kabelsketal . At the beginning, Dögel, who developed management software , digitized the pedigree of his customers' dogs . In the following years he and his company professionalized the portal and expanded it to include functions and offers such as member profiles, videos and a platform for buying and selling dogs ( see Contents and Functions ). Originally financed by sponsorship money, working-dog is now supported by advertising, paid content such as live streams from tournaments and a premium area that is activated for subscription fees .
The platform is used by 270,000 people worldwide (as of March 2018) and offered in 21 languages, including German , English , Spanish , Russian , Finnish , Turkish , Indonesian and Mandarin .

Connection to the registration system in dog sports
In addition to working-dog, Caniva is a website that simplifies the registration process for tournaments in the dog sport sector and is reflected on working-dog.com. Ten associations, including the Association for the German Canine Industry , the German Dog Sports Association and the German Association of Working Dog Sports Clubs, use Caniva in 18 different dog sports categories.
Apps and magazine
