The Wubbold Glacier is a 13 km long glacier with a steep gradient in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . From the Havre Mountains it flows south to Lasarew Bay , which it reaches north of Mount Holt .
The British geographer Derek Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1960 using aerial photographs taken by the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1980 after Joseph Henry Wubbold Jr. (* 1934) of the United States Coast Guard , commander of USCGC Northwind in Operation Deep Freeze in 1977.
