Wulf Arlt

Wulf Arlt (born March 5, 1938 in Breslau ) is a German musicologist .

Live and act

Wulf Arlt studied musicology first in Cologne and then in Basel with Leo Schrade , where he became head of the important microfilm archive in 1962. After receiving his doctorate in 1966 and his habilitation in 1970, he took over the management of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 1971 until 1978. From 1972 he taught as an associate professor at the musicological seminar at the University of Basel , which he took over in 1991 when he was appointed full professor. In 2007 Arlt retired .
