Litter pigeon (* 1993 ; † 2019 ) was a German racehorse and winner of the German St. Leger . The chestnut mare was bred at the Ravensberg stud by Acatenango , from the Frontal litter. She is the great-grandmother of Waldgeist , who won the Prix ​​de l'Arc de Triomphe in 2019 . She is the mother of the derby winner Waldpark .

career

Litter pigeon was trained by Harro Remmert . In 1996 she became the champion mare of the three-year-olds, as well as a year later in the category for the older, she won four group races in seven victories, was placed in Group I and ended her career with a general compensation (GAG) of 98 kilos.

After a few smaller races, litter pigeons won the Hamburg mare price (group III), Ludwig Goebels memorial races (list races), Fürstenberg races (group III) and the St. Leger (group II), which they won with Kevin Woodburn in the saddle by eleven lengths superior won. At the age of four, litter pigeon won the Gerling Prize (Group II) and came second in the Baden Economy Grand Prix (Group II) and the Germany Prize (Group I) in Düsseldorf.
