Wuxi Sports Center Gym

The Wuxi Sports Center Gym (Chinese: 无锡 市 体育 中心) is a multi-purpose hall for sports, leisure and cultural events in the Chinese city ​​of Wuxi in Jiangsu Province . The building is part of a sports park with a total area of about 60,000 square meters, was founded in 2004 by the Wuxi Bowei Sports Industry Investment and Development Co. built.

The Wuxi Sports Center Gym has been the venue for the Wuxi Classic snooker tournament since 2008 , which was still held under the name Jiangsu Classic for the first two years . The hall was explicitly tailored to the needs of snooker and was awarded the title WPBSA Center of Excellence by the WPBSA in May 2013 . It is the home tournament of the most successful Chinese snooker player, Ding Junhui .

It was also one of the venues for the 2009 Women's Handball World Championship .
