Wuzhi

Wuzhi ( Chinese  武陟县 , Pinyin Wǔzhì Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Jiaozuo in the Chinese province of Henan . The district has an area of ​​860 km² and approx. 650,000 inhabitants (end of 2003). It stretches across the entire southeast of Jiaozuo. Along its entire southern border, the Huang He separates it from the city of Zhengzhou , in the east it borders on Xinxiang , in the north on Wuxiu County and the Shanyang District and in the west on the Bo'ai and Wen counties . Wuzhi County was founded during the Sui dynasty in Kaihuang 16 (corresponds to the year 596).

The People's Victory Canal begins in the village of Qinchang秦 厂 村 in Wuzhi County , the first large-scale construction of an irrigation area after the founding of the People's Republic of China .

Administrative structure
