The Upper Monk Lakes ( pl. Wyżnie Mnichowe Stawki ) in Poland are nine cirque lakes in the valley behind the Mönch ( pl. Dolina za Mnichem ), a hanging valley above the Fischbach valley ( pl. Dolina Rybiego Potoku ) in the Polish High Tatras . The glacial lakes are located in the Bukowina Tatrzańska commune . A hiking trail runs along the lakes from the valley behind the Mönch to the Wrota Chałubińskiego mountain pass .
