Wynn Bullock
Wynn Bullock (born April 18, 1902 in Chicago , Illinois , † November 16, 1975 in Monterey ) was an American photographer who was best known for his nudes and landscapes.
biography
Wynn Bullock was originally a musician and singer and stayed in Paris , Milan and Berlin from 1928 to 1930 during his studies . In 1930 he returned to the USA and began training as a photographer at the Art Center School in Los Angeles . His teacher from 1938 to 1940 was Edward Kaminski . Bullock worked as a commercial photographer until 1959 and then began teaching, including at San Francisco State College. In 1948 he met Edward Weston , who brought him closer to straight photography .

Bullock's best-known pictures are nudes and landscapes that embody a very poetic visual language. His pictures can be found in more than 90 museums, including The Hallmark Collection of Photography , Museum of Modern Art , Center for Creative Photography and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art .
