Wyosin (Yt) is a rare nucleoside and occurs in the tRNA . It consists of β- D ribofuranose (sugar) and a heavily modified guanosine . It is a tricyclic nucleoside and was found in Torula yeast. Wyosin and its derivatives such as Wybutosin (yW) are found next to the anticodon at position 37 of phenylalanine-specific transfer RNAs (tRNA Phe ).
