Vysokaye ( Belarusian Высокае ; Russian Высокое , Polish Wysokie Litewskie ) is a town in the Kamjanez district in the Breszkaja Woblasz in Belarus .

history

The village Vysokaye was first mentioned in the 14th century as the "High City". In 1494 Vysokaye received Magdeburg city rights . On October 12, 1940 Vysokaye became the center of the newly formed administrative unit Vysokaye Raion . After the dissolution of the district on April 17, 1962 , the city of Vysokaye and the district of the same name were administratively incorporated into the district of Kamjanets .
