Xanthos (King of Thebes)

Xanthos ( Greek Ξάνθος Xánthos ), the son of Ptolemy , was the last king of Thebes in Greek mythology . According to Pausanias he was killed in a duel by Andropompos , according to Strabo by Melanthos , son of Andropompos. After Xanthos death, the Thebans ended the rule of an individual.
