Xiabali tombs

The Xiabali tombs ( Chinese  下 八里 墓群 , Pinyin Xiàbālǐ mùqún ) in Zhangjiakou in the Chinese province of Hebei are Chinese tombs from the time of the Liao dynasty of the Kitan , which are famous for their wall paintings . Most of them come from the Zhang clan.

One of the most famous graves is that of Zhang Shiqing .

The discovery of the group of tombs in Xiabali Village, Xuanhua County was among the top ten archaeological discoveries in China for 1993.

The two groups of graves discovered are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-72).
