Xiang ( Chinese  湘 語  /  湘 语 , Pinyin Xiāng yǔ ) is one of the Chinese languages . It is named after the Xiang River and is spoken by over 30 million people, mainly in Hunan Province . Xiang was also Mao Zedong's mother tongue .
