Xie Xuren

Xie Xuren ( Chinese  谢 旭 人 ; * October 1947 in Ningbo , Zhejiang Province ) was Minister of Finance of the People's Republic of China from August 30, 2007 to March 16, 2013 .

Life

In 1967, he started working at the Ningbo Zhenhai Machine Factory . Initially as a skilled worker, he later became head of department and finally deputy director. In June 1980, he joined the Chinese Communist Party . He studied from 1981 at the Zhejiang University focus Economics from which he graduated 1984th From 1984 to 1985, Xie Xuren was appointed officer in the Yinxian County Court. He was then director of the Planning and Economic Commission of Zhèjiāng Province.

From 1990 he headed the budget office of the Ministry of Finance and was appointed vice minister there in 1995. Xie Xuren held this position until 1998 when he became President of the Agricultural Development Bank of China . In 2000, he switched post to deputy secretary in the Communist Party. At the same time he became Vice Minister of the Central Working Committee for Finance. In 2003 he became director of the state tax administration. On August 30, 2007, Xie Xuren succeeded Jin Renqing .
