It should not be confused with ximeninic acid (santalbinic acid) 11-octadecen-9-yn acid, an alkynic acid which is also found in ximenia oil. Its abbreviation is 26: 1-delta-17c.

Occurrence

Nasturtium ( Tropaeolum speciosum )
