Xiren is an indie - alternative rock band from Detroit , Michigan.

The name of the band and the founder Xiren Kenny is derived from Greek mythology and Celtic lore.

history

The singer and guitarist Xiren Kenny (* August 1973) previously played in bands from Denver such as "Painted Glass" and "Bourbon St." Since 2000, Ben Jansen has often worked on the songs. Xiren is one of the few bands that made it into a Volkswagen commercial .

In 2004, Xiren headlined the Denver Red Rocks Festival in front of 6,500 people. In 2008 the band toured India . This was followed by a US tour from coast to coast.

Lt. the American trade magazine about the radio and music industry FMQB , Xiren was played a total of 10,378 times in 2009, making it 77th.
