Yūko Kanamori

Yūko Kanamori ( Japanese 金森 裕子 , Kanamori Yūko ; born January 8, 1986 ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

Yūko Kanamori attended the Fujine Kita Middle School and then the private Seiryū High School, both in Fujinomiya , and from 2004 the renowned Waseda University . After graduating, she joined Nihon Unisys , and has played for their factory team ever since. She had her first major success in 2003 when she won the Inter-High High School Championships ( 高校 総 体 , kōkō sōtai ) in doubles. At the Badminton Student Championships she achieved bronze in 2004 and 2005 and silver in 2006, both in women's doubles. In 2008 she reached third place in mixed at the adult badminton championship. In the same year she took part in the General Badminton Championships where she reached second place in mixed and third place a year later. At the 2010 adult championships she was second in mixed and third in doubles.

Yūko Kanamori finished fifth in the women's doubles with Sayuri Asahara at the Korea International . In 2011 they both finished third in the same discipline at Osaka International .
