Yaël Braun-Pivet (born December 7, 1970 in Nancy ) is a French lawyer , activist and politician .

Life

Yaël Braun-Pivet is a lawyer. She followed her husband, who worked as a senior manager at L'Oréal in Asia, then in Portugal . You have five children.

After returning to France in 2012, she earned a Masters 2 in Business and Corporate Law and founded a startup specializing in short stays in guest rooms before focusing on volunteering at the Restos du cœur . She was elected MP for the Yvelines department in the 2017 French general election , defeating Jacques Myard , a leading Conservative MP in the assembly. She was elected chairman of the Constitutional, Legislative and Administrative Committee ( Commission des lois constitutionnelles, de la législation et de l'administration générale de la République ) in the National Assembly.
