Ya Sally Njie Colley

Ya Sally Njie Colley (known as Sista Njie , born February 9, 1989 in Bakoteh ) is a Gambian presenter and entrepreneur.

Life

She had her first engagement in media in 2004 when she was in the ninth grade when she conducted short radio interviews for her uncle.In 2007 she graduated from school. Until 2007 she worked in sports reporting for the Gambian West Coast Radio , where she later also moderated. In 2011 she interrupted her moderation activities for a year and worked in marketing for a real estate company.

From 2012 she moderated the music talk show Wahsahalat ( Wah Sa Halat ), which became very popular under her moderation. In 2014 she moved to Capital FM , where her show continued to be broadcast.After five years, Wahsahalat was discontinued.

Around 2014 she was also a co-host of the online TV series Loud Gambia . She also hosted the TV entertainment program Fiila .

On October 24, 2014 she married the musician Essa N. Colley (known as ENC , born in 1988).

2017 it created on behalf of UNICEF Gambia and the Gambian organization Think Young Women a media campaign, a workshop and led the production of songs and a music video against gender-based violence ( gender-based violence ) by. In the same year she produced an album for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Also in 2017, she signed an advertising contract with the mobile operator Africell .

Njie is CEO of the event management and media company Brand Plus , which produces the radio show Wah Sa Halat and presents the Wah Sa Halat Music Awards . These awards are the only award ceremony for music artists in Gambia and were presented for the fourth time in 2019. She is also co-director of her husband's World Vibe Entertainment company .
