action

At the end of the 21st century, the world is ruled almost entirely by corporations. Nevertheless, some so-called free trade zones were formed which are not subject to the government of corporations, in which mainly fishermen, traders, mercenaries, bon vivants and pirates live. These areas can be dangerous for pilots whose aircraft have no or only insufficient on-board armament. The main character Magnus Tide, who used to work as a mercenary for the Proteus Corporation, is also aware of this. One day he was unable to complete an assignment that was assigned to him and in the process lost not only his plane, but all his money. His relationship with a Proteus employee also fell apart. A few years later, he returned to his old employer Proteus with a new type of aircraft, the Sagittarius. The special thing about the Sagittarius is that it not only has the typical flight characteristics of an airplane, but can also hover like a helicopter. Magnus Tide has been working for Proteus as a lone fighter since his return and comes at exactly the right time, as Proteus is hit by strange attacks.

Gameplay

You can freely choose between two different cockpit views and the follower perspective. In most missions you should destroy all opponents, fly reconnaissance flights and escort other ships. In three places in the game you don't sit in the cockpit, but behind a gun: two fixed turrets and one turret from a DST bomber. In addition to the main objective in a mission, every now and then you can also complete a few other secondary objectives, and it is also possible to collect new ammunition and booster packs. Free saving is not possible.

Yager was initially issued with the single player mode, later was multiplayer - Patch in later.

While Yager received mostly positive reviews from the media, the game's sales figures were on the low side.
