Yagtön Sanggye Pel ( Tib .: g.yag ston sangs rgyas dpal ; approx. 1348/50 (?); † 1414 ) was a clergyman of the exoteric branch of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. His main student was Rongtön Shecha Kunrig ( rong ston shes bya kun rig ).

Works

Sanggye Pel is the author of Yagtik (full title: g.yag tik rigs pa'i 'od stong' phro ba ), a commentary on Sakya Pandita's Tsema Rigter (“The Treasure of the Logic of Correct Knowledge”; tshad ma rigs gter ). He also wrote a famous eight-volume commentary on Abhisamayālaṃkāra with the Tibetan title mngon rtogs rgyan 'grel pa rin chen bsam' phel dbang rgyal .
