Yaki Kadafi (born October 9, 1977 in Irvington , New Jersey , † November 10, 1996 in Orange , New Jersey; real name Yafeu Akiyele Fula ) was an American rapper of African American origin, who became known through the group Outlawz . He worked with his cousin Tupac Amaru Shakur and Hussein Fatal , among others .

biography

Yafeu Akiyele Fula was born to Yaasmyn Fula in Irvington, New Jersey in 1977 to Sekou Odinga. Yafeu comes from the Fante language and means something like "straightforward". Yafeu Tupac met Amaru Shakur as a child because her parents were neighbors who met at a meeting for black rights in the 1970s.

Kadafi was a member of the Young Thugz group (with EDI) later known as Thoroheadz (with the member Kastro) shortly afterwards he was a member of the Outlawz with Hussein Fatal , Tupac Amaru Shakur , EDI, Kastro, Napoleon, Young Noble, Moozaliny , Storm and Khomani .

Yaki Kadafi has worked with many producers including Rick Rock, Ant Banks , Mike Mosley, Kurupt Da Kingpin, LT Hutton, DJ Quik, DJ KayGee, Ton Capone, QDIII , Hurt M Badd.

Yafeu Akiyele Fula was found shot dead on November 10, 1996 in a residential complex where his girlfriend lived. He was the only person who had seen any of the attackers who shot Tupac Amaru Shakur . He was murdered before he could give a description to the police.
